Colon Cancer is as common as breast cancer. Colon Cancer is the second most common cancer killer. Colon Cancer strikes 150,000 Americans each year, killing 65,000 annually. About 10% of adults are thought to develop sporadic polyps of the colon, placing them at high risk for colon cancer. Colon Cancer does NOT discriminate. It can occur in both men and women of all ages and races. A westernized diet of high fat and low fiber increases the incidence of Colon Cancer. Heredity is the most important factor in the development of colon polyps and cancer.
